    Abbie Anderson is...

    Quirky + Compassionate  + Driven + Warm!

Abbie Anderson is a Boston based performer and artist for the stage and screen. She is currently finishing up the best four years at Emerson College, earning her BFA in Theatre and Performance with a minor in Creative Writing. Born in Manhattan and raised in suburban New Jersey, Abbie lives in Boston in the most colorful apartment you will ever see.

Growing up thirty minutes (with no traffic) outside of New York City, and with two parents who love theatre, Abbie is so grateful to have seen Broadway shows since childhood. From the age of three, Abbie has been performing for her family, starting with her own interpretations of The Nutcracker and Beauty and the Beast. From there, Abbie became obsessed with musical theatre, memorizing the entire book, libretto, and choreography of Shrek the Musical and Rent in middle school. Abbie’s first onstage performance was as Pig Pen in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown when she was 7 years old, and instantly fell in love with performing comedy onstage. When she was 13, Abbie played Mayzie La Bird in Seussical, which taught her then nerdy, pubescent self so much confidence and self love. From there on, she began to understand that performing is her lifeblood, and her way to exist happily, fulfilled, and creatively inspired in this chaotic world.

Besides performing, some things that bring Abbie insurmountable joy are sunsets, spending time with dogs, curating colorful 50’s inspired outfits, the TV show ‘New Girl’, and visiting weekend markets with friends. Abbie loves cooking homemade Italian food, reading and writing poetry, and watching videos of unlikely animal best friends.
